Dr. Maika Mitchell is the founder and CEO of the Nexus Scientific Soultions LLC.
Dr. Mitchell brings over 20 years of strategic leadership in biomedical research, translational science, and clinical operations. She has directed research initiatives at top-tier medical centers and government agencies, with deep expertise in infectious disease research, regulatory strategy, and health equity advancement. Dr. Mitchell holds leadership positions in the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She was recognized as a Wiley Index Inspiring Black Scientist (2026) and serves on multiple editorial boards for peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Mitchell has led strategic initiatives at NYU Langone Health. She serves on numerous editorial boards, including the International Journal of Surgery Global Health, Annals of Medicine and Surgery, and Cureus Journal of Medical Science. Recognition: Selected for the Wiley Index of Inspiring Black Scientists (2026).
